Parents
1. How do I request for a tutor?
- Click on the icon 'Request for tutor' on the top column or simply click on the green icon 'Parents/Students request for tutor'.
- Fill up the required fields and click the 'Submit' button.

2. How much do I need to pay Singapore Home Tutors upon successful matching of a tutor?
- Absolutely NOTHING!! Our matching service is totally FREE OF CHARGE!!
3. How and when should I pay the tutor?
- Payment should be done at the last lesson of each month (subject to the agreement between the tutor and the parents). However, a nominal fee of 50% of the first month's tuition fee is payable to Singapore Home Tutors as a service charge, deducted from the tutor's first month salary, i.e. for a 4 lessons per month tuition, the parents should bank transfer the tuition fees of the first 2 lessons to Singapore Home Tutors' account. Subsequent payment should be payable directly to the tutor.

4. How do we verify the tutor's qualification?
- Each tutor will have to upload their relevant certificate into our database upon registration with Singapore Home Tutors. Tutors are also required to bring along their certificate on the first lesson. Should there be any inaccurate information or if the tutor is unable to produce his/her certificate, please inform us immediately and we will look into the matter seriously and take action accordingly.
5. Am I allowed to request for a change of tutor?
- Absolutely. In the event that you or your child finds that the tutor is not suitable for whatever reason, do inform us and we will find another tutor to replace the current tutor.
6. How long does it take to match a tutor for my child?
- Normally it takes less than 48 hours to match a tutor to a student. However, this is subject to the availability of our tutors as well.
Tutors
1. What happens if the parents or student terminate the tuition within the first 2 weeks?
- If the parents or student terminate the tuition within the first 2 weeks due to the inability of the tutor to display a strong knowledge or teaching skills in the given assignment, the tuition fees will be forfeited and credited fully to Singapore Home Tutors.
- However, if the matter is due to the parents or student's side, half of the tuition fees will be credited to the tutor, while the other half will be credited to Singapore Home Tutors.
